By creating an account and using FileDrop, you agree to abide by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the application.
2. Purpose of the Application
FileDrop is provided solely for the purpose of collecting and reviewing student portfolio information in connection with awarding credit for prior learning. Use of the application for any other purpose is not authorized.
3. Account Responsibilities
- You must provide accurate and complete demographic information (name, email, and student ID).
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You agree to notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Submit false or misleading information.
- Upload content that infringes on the rights of others (e.g., copyright, trademark, or privacy).
- Use the application for any purpose unrelated to your academic evaluation.
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the application or its security.
5. Ownership of Materials
You retain ownership of the portfolio materials you upload. By submitting them, you grant us a limited license to use those materials solely for the purpose of evaluating and awarding credit.
6. FERPA Compliance
We treat all student records in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). See our Privacy Policy and FERPA compliance statement for details.
7. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 180 days, except where retention is required by law.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
FileDrop is provided on an “as is” basis. We do not guarantee that it will be error-free or uninterrupted, though we make reasonable efforts to maintain availability.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Noctusoft, Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the application.
10. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. You will be notified of material changes, and continued use of the application constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
