You must provide required demographic information (name, email, and student ID) in order to use this application. If you do not consent, you cannot use the application.

- The storage of your data on secure cloud servers in accordance with our security practices.
- The handling of your information in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Noctusoft, Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use FileDrop. By using the application, you consent to this Policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to operate the application:
- Demographic Data: Your name, email address, and student ID.
- Portfolio Data: Artifacts, documents, and other materials you submit in support of prior learning credit.
- Usage Data: Limited analytics about how you use the application, to improve performance and user experience.

We use your information only for the following purposes:
- To identify you and connect your portfolio to your academic record.
- To evaluate and process credit for prior learning.
- To provide, maintain, and improve the application.
- To comply with applicable federal law, including FERPA.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell, share, or otherwise disclose your personal data to third parties. Only authorized staff and contractors, bound by confidentiality, may access your information to maintain the application.
5. Data Retention
Your data will be retained while your account is active. If you close your account or it is terminated, we will delete your information and uploaded materials within 180 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. Student Rights Under FERPA
As a U.S. student, your educational records are protected by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). This means you have the right to:
- Inspect and review your records.
- Request corrections to inaccurate or misleading information.
- Control certain disclosures of your information.

7. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your data. All data is stored with trusted cloud service providers. All connections are encrypted via HTTPS. Session authentication uses HTTP-only, secure, signed cookies. File access requires authentication on every download.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. You will be notified of material changes, and continued use of the application constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
